Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Holding Firms and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which rose 3.14% or 0.440 points to trade at 14.440 at the close. Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) added 2.92% or 4.0000 points to end at 141.0000 and GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) was up 1.56% or 19.000 points to 1239.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN), which lost 1.13% or 0.25 points to trade at 21.95 in late trade. Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) declined 0.99% or 0.250 points to end at 25.050 and Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) shed 0.54% or 0.020 points to 3.710.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 97 to 96 and 44 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.20% or 2.45 to $1236.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.46% or 0.25 to hit $54.03 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.65% or 0.36 to trade at $56.17 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.42% to 7.3229, while USD/PHP rose 0.62% to 50.375.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 100.84.
