Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Banking & Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 1.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which rose 2.06% or 0.100 points to trade at 4.950 at the close. Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) added 1.05% or 0.200 points to end at 19.200 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 0.30% or 0.020 points to 6.680 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which unchanged 0% or 0 points to trade at 0.05 in late trade. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 5.29% or 0.190 points to end at 3.400 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) shed 3.29% or 4.350 points to 128.000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 3 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.51% or 0.22 to $43.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.28% or 0.14 to hit $49.73 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.34% or 3.80 to trade at $1107.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.48% to 3.2190, while EUR/PEN rose 0.95% to 3.5331.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.00% at 97.24.
