Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Services and Electricity sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.08 at the close. Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) added 1.27% or 0.060 points to end at 4.800 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was up 1.19% or 0.010 points to 0.850 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Relapasa (LM:REL), which lost 9.09% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.220 in late trade. Sider (LM:SID) declined 8.18% or 0.018 points to end at 0.202 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) shed 2.72% or 0.700 points to 25.000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 7 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.47% or 0.28 to $57.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.17% or 1.39 to hit $62.34 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1188.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.16% to 3.1545, while EUR/PEN fell 0.22% to 3.4298.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 97.34.
