Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Banking & Financials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA), which rose 1.74% or 0.110 points to trade at 6.440 at the close. Milpo (LM:MIL) added 1.12% or 0.030 points to end at 2.710 and Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) was up 0.80% or 0.050 points to 6.300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ferreyros (LM:FER), which lost 4.14% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.620 in late trade. Minsur (LM:MINi) declined 3.08% or 0.040 points to end at 1.260 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) shed 2.37% or 0.008 points to 0.330.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 13 to 11 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.28% or 0.60 to $47.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.26% or 0.62 to hit $49.67 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.37% or 4.95 to trade at $1324.75 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3495, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7857.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 94.68.
