Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Electricity and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 6.33% or 0.019 points to trade at 0.319 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) added 5.36% or 0.015 points to end at 0.295 and Candente Copper (LM:DNT) was up 4.55% or 0.0050 points to 0.1150 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which lost 9.72% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.07 in late trade. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 2.50% or 0.050 points to end at 1.950 and Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) shed 1.67% or 0.200 points to 11.800.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 16 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.07% or 0.04 to $57.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.18% or 0.11 to hit $62.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 7.20 to trade at $1274.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.03% to 3.2335, while EUR/PEN rose 0.34% to 3.8472.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 92.92.
