Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Banking & Financials and Electricity sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Ferreyros (LM:FER), which rose 2.84% or 0.060 points to trade at 2.170 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) added 1.91% or 0.003 points to end at 0.160 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) was up 1.59% or 0.65 points to 41.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which lost 7.69% or 0.300 points to trade at 3.600 in late trade. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 7.43% or 0.013 points to end at 0.162 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) shed 4.44% or 0.080 points to 1.720.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 11 and 12 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.22% or 1.56 to $68.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $78.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.50 to trade at $1206.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.46% to 3.3150, while EUR/PEN rose 0.17% to 3.8801.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 94.53.
