Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining, Services and Electricity sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which rose 8.33% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.130 at the close. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged 5.56% or 0.00 points to end at 0.08 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 1.96% or 0.010 points to 0.520 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Milpo (LM:MIL), which lost 4.72% or 0.250 points to trade at 5.050 in late trade. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 3.23% or 0.030 points to end at 0.900 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) shed 2.68% or 1.40 points to 50.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.99% or 0.70 to $70.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.08% or 0.06 to hit $76.04 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1315.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.34% to 3.2895, while EUR/PEN fell 0.10% to 3.9081.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 92.94.
