Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 10.19% or 0.037 points to trade at 0.400 at the close. Sider (LM:SID) added 6.77% or 0.021 points to end at 0.331 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 4.88% or 0.060 points to 1.290 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which lost 3.33% or 0.200 points to trade at 5.800 in late trade. Intergroup (LM:IFS) declined 2.95% or 0.880 points to end at 29.000 and Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) shed 1.65% or 0.004 points to 0.239.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 7 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.08% or 0.04 to $49.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $49.97 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.14% or 1.70 to trade at $1213.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3725, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7706.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 95.56.
