Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Mining and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General rose 0.15% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA), which rose 5.43% or 0.250 points to trade at 4.850 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 3.45% or 0.020 points to end at 0.600 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 2.27% or 0.030 points to 1.350 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which lost 5.74% or 0.310 points to trade at 5.090 in late trade. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 1.89% or 0.210 points to end at 10.900 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) shed 0.49% or 0.030 points to 6.050.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 6 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.62% or 1.50 to $58.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.46% or 0.94 to hit $65.58 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.81% or 9.80 to trade at $1204.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.00% to 3.1269, while EUR/PEN rose 0.19% to 3.4374.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.92% at 95.31.
