Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, Food & Beverages and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 1.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 9.14% or 0.017 points to trade at 0.203 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) added 9.09% or 0.010 points to end at 0.120 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was up 6.67% or 0.050 points to 0.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which lost 1.85% or 0.100 points to trade at 5.400 in late trade. Minera Irl (LM:IRL) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 0.09 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) shed 0.71% or 0.010 points to 1.400.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 9 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.55% or 0.33 to $60.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $63.68 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.40% or 4.70 to trade at $1185.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.03% to 3.1645, while EUR/PEN rose 0.10% to 3.5597.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.77% at 94.48.
