Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Banking & Financials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.09 at the close. Alicorp (LM:ALI) added 1.92% or 0.110 points to end at 5.850 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 1.63% or 0.020 points to 1.250 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which lost 3.95% or 0.320 points to trade at 7.780 in late trade. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 3.70% or 0.030 points to end at 0.780 and Sider (LM:SID) shed 2.50% or 0.005 points to 0.195.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 9 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.21% or 0.73 to $60.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.08% or 1.35 to hit $63.76 a barrel, while the August Gold contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1180.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.01% to 3.1547, while EUR/PEN fell 0.55% to 3.5283.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.01% at 94.98.
