Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Services and Electricity sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which rose 5.45% or 0.0030 points to trade at 0.0580 at the close. Credicorp (LM:BAP) added 0.91% or 2.00 points to end at 222.00 and ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI) was up 0.75% or 0.050 points to 6.700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Panoro (LM:PML), which lost 12.36% or 0.022 points to trade at 0.156 in late trade. Sider (LM:SID) declined 3.08% or 0.020 points to end at 0.630 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) shed 2.97% or 0.380 points to 12.420.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 6 and 20 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.03% or 0.02 to $67.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $74.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.96% or 11.50 to trade at $1191.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.56% to 3.3025, while EUR/PEN fell 0.02% to 3.8054.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 95.55.
