Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Energy, Materials and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 3.89% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.57 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) added 1.22% or 1.8 points to end at 149.8 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was up 0.39% or 0.30 points to 76.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 4.93% or 1.4 points to trade at 26.6 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 3.99% or 0.82 points to end at 19.75 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) shed 3.96% or 0.36 points to 8.61.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 107 to 66 and 21 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.85% or 0.83 to $43.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.84% or 0.85 to hit $45.35 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.64% or 8.55 to trade at $1322.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.15% to 9.3795, while USD/NOK rose 0.74% to 8.5564.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.61% at 97.53.
