Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media, Transport and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.00% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which rose 2.75% or 2.40 points to trade at 89.65 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 1.79% or 10.50 points to end at 595.50 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFG) was up 1.29% or 2.40 points to 188.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PGS ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 5.27% or 0.46 points to trade at 8.30 in late trade. TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) declined 3.99% or 5.00 points to end at 120.40 and Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) shed 3.22% or 4.40 points to 132.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 175 to 106 and 31 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.15% or 0.12 to $78.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.22% or 0.18 to hit $82.78 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.09% or 25.60 to trade at $2,329.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.15% to 11.45, while USD/NOK rose 0.56% to 10.63.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.00% at 104.62.
