Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Energy and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.75%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 1.51% or 3.5 points to trade at 235.5 at the close. Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) added 0.84% or 1.2 points to end at 143.9 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was up 0.30% or 1.1 points to 363.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 6.17% or 1.06 points to trade at 16.19 in late trade. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 4.34% or 0.04 points to end at 0.95 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) shed 2.66% or 1.80 points to 65.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 98 to 79 and 27 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.99% or 1.52 to $49.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.74% or 1.56 to hit $55.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.32 to trade at $1277.52 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.23% to 9.3961, while USD/NOK rose 0.05% to 8.0084.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 93.66.
