Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.71%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which rose 10.01% or 23.40 points to trade at 257.20 at the close. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) added 0.95% or 0.80 points to end at 85.10 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 0.85% or 1.6 points to 190.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which lost 6.59% or 4.85 points to trade at 68.75 in late trade. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) declined 4.62% or 0.47 points to end at 9.71 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) shed 4.13% or 2.50 points to 58.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 144 to 41 and 18 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.66% or 0.37 to $55.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.53% or 0.33 to hit $61.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 4.58 to trade at $1278.32 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.87% to 9.7344, while USD/NOK rose 0.87% to 8.2507.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 93.74.
