Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Materials and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 1.83% or 0.30 points to trade at 16.65 at the close. Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) added 1.10% or 1.00 points to end at 92.00 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was up 0.64% or 1.5 points to 234.6 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 2.22% or 4.0 points to trade at 176.0 in late trade. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) declined 1.91% or 0.90 points to end at 46.19 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) shed 1.35% or 0.53 points to 38.64.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 88 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.65% or 0.39 to $60.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.82% or 0.54 to hit $66.70 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.69% or 9.00 to trade at $1306.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.24% to 9.8381, while USD/NOK fell 0.77% to 8.1849.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 91.84.
