Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Media, Transport and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which rose 5.33% or 4.55 points to trade at 89.85 at the close. Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) added 1.99% or 2.30 points to end at 118.00 and Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR) was up 1.98% or 1.40 points to 71.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFG), which lost 7.36% or 14.60 points to trade at 183.90 in late trade. Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) declined 5.69% or 8.50 points to end at 140.80 and Nel ASA (OL:NEL) shed 4.70% or 0.33 points to 6.78.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 148 to 140 and 34 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.35% or 0.28 to $80.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.29% or 0.25 to hit $84.78 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 16.85 to trade at $2,437.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.66% to 11.77, while USD/NOK rose 0.52% to 10.78.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 103.76.
