Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Auto & components, Transport and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 4.60% or 0.250 points to trade at 5.680 at the close. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 1.71% or 4.1 points to end at 244.0 and Aker ASA (OL:AKER) was up 1.37% or 8.0 points to 590.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 21.48% or 38.30 points to trade at 145.00 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 4.61% or 0.82 points to end at 16.86 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) shed 1.76% or 0.90 points to 50.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 115 to 69 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.24% or 0.65 to $53.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.33% or 0.20 to hit $61.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.65 to trade at $1281.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.35% to 9.7106, while USD/NOK rose 0.18% to 8.5784.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 96.200.
