Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 4.35% or 1.32 points to trade at 31.63 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 1.98% or 1.05 points to end at 54.10 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 1.45% or 2.9 points to 203.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which lost 3.97% or 3.15 points to trade at 76.15 in late trade. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 1.66% or 0.02 points to end at 1.01 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) shed 1.34% or 2.5 points to 183.4.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 84 to 84 and 36 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.00% or 0.48 to $48.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.08% or 0.56 to hit $52.43 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.23 to trade at $1293.23 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.08% to 9.2964, while USD/NOK fell 0.39% to 7.8792.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 93.22.
