Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media, Transport and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM), which rose 1.38% or 1.80 points to trade at 132.30 at the close. Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFG) added 1.35% or 2.60 points to end at 195.10 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was up 1.07% or 3.20 points to 301.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS), which lost 16.41% or 2.10 points to trade at 10.70 in late trade. Nel ASA (OL:NEL) declined 2.17% or 0.13 points to end at 5.87 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) shed 2.01% or 5.40 points to 263.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 161 to 113 and 36 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.20% or 0.17 to $83.71 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.16% or 0.14 to hit $87.20 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 2.25 to trade at $2,367.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.29% to 11.42, while USD/NOK rose 0.17% to 10.57.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 104.83.
