Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Diversified Financials, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo), which rose 2.27% or 14.5 points to trade at 654.0 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) added 1.84% or 0.75 points to end at 41.47 and Storebrand ASA (OSLO:STB) was up 1.17% or 0.34 points to 29.34 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO), which lost 5.38% or 0.60 points to trade at 10.55 in late trade. Prosafe (OSLO:PRSO) declined 3.06% or 0.70 points to end at 22.20 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) shed 2.20% or 1.3 points to 57.7.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 90 to 80 and 3 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.13% or 0.55 to $48.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.18% or 0.67 to hit $55.62 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.17% or 2.00 to trade at $1187.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.31% to 8.6538, while USD/NOK rose 0.50% to 8.0525.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.33% at 98.63.
