Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media, Materials and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA), which rose 3.85% or 2.00 points to trade at 54.00 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) added 3.36% or 1.06 points to end at 32.58 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was up 1.55% or 1.4 points to 95.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which lost 5.09% or 0.46 points to trade at 8.58 in late trade. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) declined 4.19% or 0.7 points to end at 16.0 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) shed 3.20% or 1.21 points to 36.64.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 72 to 66 and 27 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.17% or 0.53 to $45.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.56% or 0.73 to hit $47.39 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.00% or 13.35 to trade at $1318.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.36% to 9.3495, while USD/NOK fell 0.21% to 8.4954.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 97.19.
