Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Energy and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 3.04% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 17.69% or 46.60 points to trade at 310.00 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 14.21% or 4.20 points to end at 33.75 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was up 6.66% or 9.2 points to 148.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which lost 0.73% or 1.7 points to trade at 232.3 in late trade. Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to end at 127.6 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) 0.00% or 0.00 points to 28.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 109 to 72 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.12% or 0.08 to $67.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.57% or 0.42 to hit $74.42 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 5.10 to trade at $1317.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.09% to 9.6867, while USD/NOK rose 0.30% to 7.9962.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 91.30.
