Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Telecoms and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR), which rose 5.46% or 5.90 points to trade at 114.00 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 5.38% or 0.09 points to end at 1.69 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) was up 5.07% or 0.4 points to 8.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which lost 1.02% or 0.30 points to trade at 29.20 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 0.46% or 0.1 points to end at 25.8 and Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) 0.00% or 0.00 points to 51.75.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 133 to 47 and 18 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.14% or 0.06 to $43.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.13% or 0.06 to hit $45.33 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.25% or 3.35 to trade at $1344.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.67% to 9.3288, while USD/NOK fell 0.86% to 8.3971.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 96.11.
