Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.20% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP), which rose 3.52% or 9.00 points to trade at 264.90 at the close. Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR) added 3.34% or 2.40 points to end at 74.20 and Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) was up 2.65% or 7.50 points to 290.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which lost 3.76% or 0.23 points to trade at 5.89 in late trade. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 0.54% or 0.70 points to end at 130.00 and Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) shed 0.33% or 0.40 points to 119.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 161 to 118 and 34 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.92% or 2.18 to $76.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.59% or 2.02 to hit $80.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 16.60 to trade at $2,468.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.15% to 11.83, while USD/NOK fell 0.17% to 10.93.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 103.92.
