Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Commercial Service And Supplies, Energy and Media sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.16% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 8.91% or 0.07 points to trade at 0.90 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 4.27% or 0.65 points to end at 15.87 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 3.09% or 9.5 points to 317.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which lost 3.90% or 3.40 points to trade at 83.70 in late trade. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 1.06% or 1.9 points to end at 172.3 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) shed 0.12% or 0.30 points to 240.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 113 to 61 and 27 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.14% or 0.10 to $73.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.68% or 0.53 to hit $78.60 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 3.20 to trade at $1256.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.08% to 9.4223, while USD/NOK rose 0.10% to 8.0333.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 93.97.
