Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 7.72% or 0.40 points to trade at 5.61 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) added 4.43% or 5.25 points to end at 123.80 and Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) was up 3.18% or 3.90 points to 126.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which lost 0.35% or 0.35 points to trade at 99.15 in late trade. Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI) declined 0.27% or 0.50 points to end at 185.80 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) shed 0.10% or 0.30 points to 297.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 169 to 105 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.60% or 1.75 to $69.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.21% or 1.56 to hit $72.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.55% or 39.50 to trade at $2,581.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.43% to 11.90, while USD/NOK fell 0.68% to 10.78.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 101.55.
