Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.00% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 5.23% or 0.89 points to trade at 17.92 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) added 4.63% or 2.85 points to end at 64.40 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was up 4.51% or 6.9 points to 160.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 3.38% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.03 in late trade. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 2.95% or 2.10 points to end at 69.00 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) shed 2.80% or 1.4 points to 50.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 92 to 87 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.06% or 0.03 to $50.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $56.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.38% or 18.23 to trade at $1298.17 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.32% to 9.3240, while USD/NOK fell 0.79% to 7.8064.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 91.95.
