Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media, Telecoms and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.98%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 3.88% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.04 at the close. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) added 2.11% or 1.55 points to end at 75.05 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was up 2.05% or 3.7 points to 184.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 3.63% or 0.54 points to trade at 14.35 in late trade. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) declined 0.92% or 1.0 points to end at 107.7 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) shed 0.77% or 0.55 points to 71.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 97 to 84 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.26% or 0.12 to $46.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.27% or 0.14 to hit $51.52 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 5.13 to trade at $1313.77 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.05% to 9.2836, while USD/NOK rose 0.49% to 7.7880.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 92.65.
