Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP), which rose 3.22% or 7.00 points to trade at 224.50 at the close. Var Energi ASA (OL:VAR) added 2.82% or 0.89 points to end at 32.50 and Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) was up 2.69% or 6.90 points to 263.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which lost 2.58% or 0.13 points to trade at 4.72 in late trade. Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) declined 2.20% or 1.70 points to end at 75.40 and Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) shed 2.07% or 3.30 points to 156.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 175 to 103 and 27 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.35% or 0.24 to $67.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.20% or 0.14 to hit $71.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.85% or 22.80 to trade at $2,672.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.37% to 11.73, while USD/NOK fell 0.32% to 10.49.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 100.10.
