Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO), which rose 6.50% or 7.10 points to trade at 116.40 at the close. Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) added 3.00% or 31.00 points to end at 1,064.00 and Nel ASA (OL:NEL) was up 2.29% or 0.13 points to 5.63 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD), which lost 1.15% or 1.60 points to trade at 137.40 in late trade. Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) declined 1.13% or 1.80 points to end at 158.00 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) shed 0.22% or 0.20 points to 90.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 174 to 105 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.66% or 0.50 to $76.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.51% or 0.40 to hit $79.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 4.90 to trade at $2,468.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.35% to 11.80, while USD/NOK fell 0.29% to 10.80.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.91.
