Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.75% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO), which rose 5.37% or 14.00 points to trade at 274.80 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) added 3.94% or 5.55 points to end at 146.30 and Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) was up 3.61% or 4.20 points to 120.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS), which lost 4.24% or 0.49 points to trade at 10.95 in late trade. Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) declined 1.31% or 2.20 points to end at 165.80 and Var Energi ASA (OL:VAR) shed 0.76% or 0.27 points to 35.23.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 162 to 130 and 27 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.37% or 0.29 to $78.35 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.30% or 0.25 to hit $82.38 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.42% or 10.00 to trade at $2,389.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.79% to 11.95, while USD/NOK rose 0.53% to 10.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 104.07.
