Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.73%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG), which rose 11.07% or 99.00 points to trade at 993.00 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) added 1.91% or 2.30 points to end at 122.80 and Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) was up 1.67% or 2.55 points to 154.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR), which lost 1.17% or 3.40 points to trade at 288.35 in late trade. Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) declined 1.03% or 1.20 points to end at 115.80 and Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI) shed 0.77% or 1.35 points to 173.25.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 152 to 135 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.59% or 0.48 to $81.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.33% or 0.28 to hit $84.94 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.58% or 13.70 to trade at $2,381.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 1.30% to 11.60, while USD/NOK rose 1.63% to 10.72.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 104.75.
