Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Materials and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.61% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 5.56% or 0.03 points to trade at 0.66 at the close. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) added 5.07% or 5.10 points to end at 105.70 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 2.34% or 1.10 points to 48.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which lost 2.68% or 8.6 points to trade at 312.4 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 2.41% or 0.79 points to end at 32.00 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) shed 1.64% or 2.7 points to 161.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 109 to 71 and 29 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.38% or 0.27 to $70.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.83% or 0.66 to hit $78.74 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1208.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.73% to 9.5850, while USD/NOK rose 0.15% to 8.1642.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 93.72.
