Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Commercial Service And Supplies and Auto & components sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo), which rose 8.27% or 48.0 points to trade at 628.5 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) added 3.27% or 7.6 points to end at 240.1 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) was up 2.23% or 1.2 points to 57.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which lost 2.85% or 2.2 points to trade at 76.7 in late trade. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGL) declined 2.26% or 0.12 points to end at 5.18 and Prosafe (OSLO:PRSO) shed 2.17% or 0.50 points to 22.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 85 to 83 and 6 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.17% or 1.63 to $49.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.54% or 1.50 to hit $57.69 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.48% or 5.80 to trade at $1199.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.79% to 8.6806, while USD/NOK rose 0.38% to 7.9431.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 97.34.
