Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD), which rose 3.92% or 5.55 points to trade at 147.05 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) added 2.96% or 0.41 points to end at 14.07 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) was up 2.82% or 3.85 points to 140.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which lost 1.54% or 4.80 points to trade at 306.30 in late trade. Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) declined 1.07% or 1.20 points to end at 111.40 and Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) shed 0.77% or 0.65 points to 83.25.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 184 to 99 and 34 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.35% or 0.27 to $78.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.42% or 0.34 to hit $82.26 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.67% or 15.50 to trade at $2,342.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.82% to 11.39, while USD/NOK fell 1.74% to 10.50.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.23% at 103.90.
