Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy, Commercial Service And Supplies and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Questerre Energy Corporation (OL:QEC), which rose 4.60% or 0.31 points to trade at 6.94 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 3.78% or 0.44 points to end at 11.95 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 2.51% or 5.20 points to 212.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which lost 1.82% or 1.30 points to trade at 70.05 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 1.52% or 2.60 points to end at 169.00 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) shed 1.32% or 2.9 points to 217.2.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 96 to 87 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.30% or 1.46 to $65.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.48% or 1.67 to hit $69.09 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.94% or 12.30 to trade at $1324.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.14% to 9.4962, while USD/NOK fell 0.07% to 7.7416.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 89.76.
