Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Media, Materials and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which rose 9.10% or 27.1 points to trade at 324.8 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 2.55% or 0.78 points to end at 31.31 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) was up 1.88% or 9.50 points to 515.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 1.94% or 5.10 points to trade at 259.85 in late trade. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 1.69% or 0.01 points to end at 0.64 and Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) shed 1.58% or 1.60 points to 99.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 76 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.31% or 0.90 to $69.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.22% or 0.95 to hit $79.00 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 1.80 to trade at $1204.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.23% to 9.5271, while USD/NOK fell 0.29% to 8.1493.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 94.06.
