Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Energy and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 9.59% or 3.01 points to trade at 34.40 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 2.88% or 0.44 points to end at 15.52 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 1.81% or 4.8 points to 270.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which lost 2.30% or 1.55 points to trade at 65.85 in late trade. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) declined 1.76% or 1.20 points to end at 66.88 and Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) shed 0.98% or 0.85 points to 86.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 91 to 89 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.37% or 1.58 to $68.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.52% or 1.90 to hit $77.39 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.80 to trade at $1302.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.27% to 9.5340, while USD/NOK fell 1.27% to 8.1737.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.83% at 94.02.
