Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 4.92% or 0.24 points to trade at 5.21 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 3.57% or 1.98 points to end at 57.42 and Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) was up 3.11% or 3.70 points to 122.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM), which lost 3.02% or 4.70 points to trade at 150.70 in late trade. DnB ASA (OL:DNB) declined 1.16% or 2.50 points to end at 212.20 and Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) shed 0.66% or 0.50 points to 75.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 147 to 126 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.26% or 0.17 to $65.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.13% or 0.09 to hit $69.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 4.75 to trade at $2,538.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.35% to 11.99, while USD/NOK rose 0.44% to 10.89.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 101.68.
