Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Commercial Service And Supplies, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which rose 2.46% or 1.28 points to trade at 53.38 at the close. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) added 2.45% or 0.75 points to end at 31.42 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was up 2.07% or 1.54 points to 75.32 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Questerre Energy Corporation (OL:QEC), which lost 2.65% or 0.16 points to trade at 5.68 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 1.44% or 3.80 points to end at 260.50 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) shed 1.37% or 3.7 points to 265.9.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 91 to 86 and 21 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.94% or 1.32 to $66.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.35% or 1.03 to hit $75.44 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 6.00 to trade at $1297.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.08% to 9.5301, while USD/NOK rose 0.25% to 8.1959.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 94.35.
