Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO), which rose 3.08% or 3.50 points to trade at 117.30 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP) added 2.45% or 6.40 points to end at 267.60 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) was up 2.38% or 3.30 points to 141.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS), which lost 9.51% or 1.33 points to trade at 12.65 in late trade. Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) declined 2.65% or 3.75 points to end at 138.00 and Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI) shed 2.39% or 4.50 points to 184.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 146 to 135 and 31 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.88% or 0.71 to $81.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.96% or 0.82 to hit $85.89 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.37% or 32.05 to trade at $2,378.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.67% to 11.28, while USD/NOK fell 0.38% to 10.52.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 105.11.
