Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI), which rose 3.13% or 5.70 points to trade at 187.60 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 2.50% or 13.50 points to end at 553.50 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) was up 2.28% or 0.24 points to 10.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC), which lost 2.86% or 5.30 points to trade at 180.30 in late trade. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) declined 1.98% or 4.80 points to end at 237.40 and Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) shed 1.45% or 1.10 points to 74.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 142 to 136 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.27% or 0.86 to $68.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.01% or 0.72 to hit $71.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 1.70 to trade at $2,526.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.76% to 11.98, while USD/NOK rose 1.39% to 10.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 101.53.
