Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Auto & components and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 3.54% or 0.65 points to trade at 18.99 at the close. Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) added 2.33% or 0.2 points to end at 8.8 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 1.83% or 0.67 points to 37.38 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which lost 8.87% or 2.26 points to trade at 23.23 in late trade. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) declined 5.19% or 0.8 points to end at 14.6 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) shed 3.42% or 10.0 points to 282.3.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 82 and 19 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.21% or 0.10 to $47.43 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.16% or 0.08 to hit $49.59 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.45 to trade at $1325.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.16% to 9.2611, while USD/NOK rose 0.29% to 8.2435.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 95.11.
