Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Materials and Auto & components sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 8.76% or 0.06 points to trade at 0.74 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 2.88% or 1.32 points to end at 47.75 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was up 1.56% or 2.5 points to 159.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 6.45% or 2.14 points to trade at 31.00 in late trade. Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) declined 2.75% or 2.90 points to end at 102.70 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) shed 2.28% or 2.6 points to 111.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 109 to 74 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.04% or 1.40 to $67.32 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.58% or 1.22 to hit $76.05 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.10 to trade at $1204.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.24% to 9.7895, while USD/NOK rose 0.30% to 8.4224.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 95.05.
