Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Telecoms and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 3.00% or 1.20 points to trade at 41.16 at the close. Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) added 1.83% or 1.1 points to end at 59.0 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was up 1.79% or 2.8 points to 159.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 4.21% or 0.03 points to trade at 0.77 in late trade. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 2.74% or 1.28 points to end at 45.40 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) shed 1.33% or 3.80 points to 281.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 100 to 64 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.26% or 0.18 to $68.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.23% or 0.17 to hit $72.75 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.00 to trade at $1229.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.01% to 9.5879, while USD/NOK fell 0.53% to 8.1896.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.64% at 94.37.
