Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 3.50% or 0.19 points to trade at 5.68 at the close. Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) added 2.54% or 3.50 points to end at 141.50 and Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) was up 2.35% or 3.00 points to 130.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which lost 1.17% or 1.50 points to trade at 127.00 in late trade. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) declined 1.12% or 1.45 points to end at 128.10 and Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) shed 1.00% or 11.00 points to 1,090.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 148 to 132 and 35 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.68% or 1.29 to $78.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.79% or 1.43 to hit $81.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 11.90 to trade at $2,491.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.43% to 11.76, while USD/NOK fell 0.09% to 10.70.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 102.75.
