Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Real Estate and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 1.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Unilever PLC (AS:ULVR), which fell 0.04% or 0.02 points to trade at 56.62 at the close. DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) fell 0.08% or 0.10 points to end at 117.95 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) was down 0.19% or 0.01 points to 3.63 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd), which lost 5.24% or 0.85 points to trade at 15.27 in late trade. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 4.54% or 0.95 points to end at 19.99 and ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) shed 3.86% or 0.65 points to 16.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 75 to 24 and 13 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.78% or 0.61 to $77.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.56% or 0.45 to hit $80.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.69% or 17.10 to trade at $2,490.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.32% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 104.11.
