Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Randstad NV (AS:RAND), which rose 2.36% or 1.02 points to trade at 44.17 at the close. Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN) added 1.53% or 0.09 points to end at 5.96 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) was up 1.40% or 9.20 points to 666.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which lost 2.67% or 4.10 points to trade at 149.35 in late trade. DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) declined 1.89% or 2.20 points to end at 114.20 and Relx PLC (AS:REL) shed 1.27% or 0.56 points to 43.42.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 53 to 48 and 9 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.76% or 1.93 to $71.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.60% or 1.93 to hit $76.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 14.15 to trade at $2,753.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 103.89.
